1. Overview

AITextToVideo ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered mobile application that converts text prompts into videos using on-device and cloud-based processing. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not build advertising profiles. Your generated content belongs to you.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Text prompts — the text you enter to generate videos.
  • Account information — if you sign up for an account (e.g. email address, display name).

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device information — device model, OS version, and app version, used for compatibility and debugging.
  • Network access — the app requires an internet connection to call AI generation APIs.
  • Purchase & subscription status — managed through RevenueCat (see Section 5). We receive anonymised entitlement data (active plan, expiry date) but not full payment card details.
  • Crash & diagnostic data — if the app crashes, an anonymous report may be sent to help us fix the issue. This does not include your generated content or prompts.

2.3 What we do NOT collect

  • Precise location data
  • Camera or microphone access
  • Contacts or address book
  • Photos or media from your device gallery

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process your text prompts and generate videos via our AI pipeline.
  • To manage your subscription and unlock premium features.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.
  • To communicate important updates about the app or your subscription (if you have an account).
  • To comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your prompts or generated videos to train AI models without your explicit opt-in consent.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

  • AI generation providers — your text prompts are sent to third-party AI APIs (e.g. image/video generation services) to produce content. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
  • RevenueCat — processes subscription and purchase data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play / Apple App Store — payment processing for in-app purchases is handled entirely by the respective store and their policies apply.
  • Legal obligations — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

AITextToVideo offers subscription plans that unlock premium AI generation features. Payments are processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We never receive or store your full credit card or payment details. Subscription status is securely managed through RevenueCat, which provides us only with entitlement signals (e.g., "premium active", expiry date) tied to an anonymous customer ID. You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time through your device's store settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service or meet legal obligations:

  • Generated videos stored server-side (if any) are deleted within 30 days of creation unless you explicitly save them.
  • Account data is kept until you delete your account.
  • Anonymous crash logs are retained for up to 90 days.
  • Purchase records are retained as required for financial compliance (typically 7 years).

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 10).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).

8. Children's Privacy

AITextToVideo is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or email (if you have an account). Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
